About the position

The Imaging Service Engineer Specialist is responsible for the repair, inspection, installation, troubleshooting, and calibration of specialty imaging equipment. This role involves performing planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections, as well as providing training and support to other staff members. The position may require travel to multiple sites and includes administrative responsibilities related to equipment management and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates specialty imaging equipment.
  • Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment.
  • Provides assistance and training to other staff on specialty equipment.
  • Evaluates and selects new equipment, accessories, and supplies in the specialty area.
  • Writes detailed purchase specifications for specialty equipment.
  • Maintains work order control and history records for equipment.
  • Documents time and expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Instructs equipment users on electrical safety and safe operation of equipment.
  • Monitors quality control of services provided by outside vendors.
  • Utilizes office automation hardware and software applications for diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in electronic technology or electronics or related field or equivalent training experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years' industry experience with at least one year directed towards the specialty area required.
  • Working familiarity with JCAHO accreditation standards preferred.
