About the position
The TMC Tunnel Technician is responsible for overseeing the production line setup and maintenance, ensuring that products are properly frozen and that the production area meets quality and food safety standards. This role involves monitoring equipment, assisting with wash downs, and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Obtain daily schedule and review items being produced.
- Set up line for items being produced.
- Set up freezer for items being produced.
- Enter freezer at designated times to remove product buildup from sides and bottom of freezer bed.
- Monitor product to ensure it is properly frozen.
- Stop line for washing down.
- Set optical sorter to 'Clean' mode during wash down and re-set to production mode.
- Assist with the wash downs.
- Perform any other jobs assigned by the supervisor.
- Notify immediate supervisor of any quality or food safety issues observed.
