About the position

The TMS Program Manager at Medtronic is responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of the TMS Implementation & Deployment Strategy. This role involves developing and deploying process improvements, ensuring global governance of the program, and providing training and support for TMS within the organization. The position requires collaboration with international teams and focuses on enhancing business performance through effective management of the TMS platform and related processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategy and execution of the TMS Implementation & Deployment Strategy.
  • Develop and deploy process improvements within the TMS Program.
  • Ensure global governance of the TMS Program.
  • Provide TMS training and support to regional teams and new hires.
  • Oversee and maintain the TMS platform, ensuring effective functionality and integration with other systems.
  • Manage and maintain business-owned master data in the TMS.
  • Configure the TMS software to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the TMS software.
  • Collaborate with IT staff and TMS vendor representatives for smooth integration and operation of the TMS software.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance day-to-day execution.
  • Act as the first point of contact for TMS-related issues, providing support and solutions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in transportation/logistics, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in transportation/logistics.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize in a high-demanding area.
  • Good communication and cooperative skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience implementing and configuring TMS systems.
  • Experience working in or implementing Blueyonder TMS desirable, but not required.
  • Technical / Analytics Skills.
  • Desire to learn and curiosity to fully understand & solve problems.
  • Customer service oriented.
