About the position
The TN Tanker Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of fuel from refineries or distribution centers to various locations, including gas stations and airports. This fully remote position requires adherence to safety protocols and regulations while ensuring efficient delivery routes and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive a fuel tanker truck safely and efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Safely load and unload fuel from the tanker, ensuring proper procedures are followed to prevent leaks or spills.
- Plan efficient and safe routes for fuel delivery, utilizing GPS and navigation tools for timely deliveries.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of the tanker truck, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year recent Class A CDL experience.
- Experience with fuel tankers is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of freight logistics and tanker operations.
