About the position

The Malvern School is currently seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Toddler classroom at The Malvern School of Malvern, PA. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday. The Assistant Teacher will play a crucial role in implementing a superior Early Childhood Education program that aligns with the school’s policies and philosophy. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and career-oriented, with a passion for Early Childhood Education. The responsibilities include maintaining a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the children, as well as communicating regularly with parents to meet or exceed their expectations. The position offers the opportunity to work in state-of-the-art classrooms within professionally cleaned and attractive facilities, and to design creative curriculum with greater latitude. The Malvern School is dedicated to educating young children through innovative programming and encourages a strong sense of teamwork and professionalism among its staff. The curriculum is designed to meet or exceed the standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), ensuring a high-quality educational environment for children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of a superior Early Childhood Education program in accordance with school policies and Malvern School philosophy.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and educational environment for the class.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, in person and through the use of technology, meeting or exceeding parent expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and be at least 18 years of age.
  • At least 2500 hours (1 year, 4 months) of documented experience with young children in a licensed facility OR 15 relevant college credits (or CDA) and at least 1250 hours (8 months) documented experience with young children in a licensed facility.
  • Must be (or be willing to start) pursuing a CDA (Child Development Associate) OR a degree in the field.
