About the position

The Preschool Lead Teacher at Cadence Academy Preschool is responsible for creating a positive learning environment for children, implementing a research-based curriculum, and collaborating with a team of dedicated educators. This role emphasizes the importance of child development and aims to foster a nurturing atmosphere for both children and their families.

Responsibilities

• Encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the center.
• Document and share important milestones in a child's day with parents.
• Collaborate with other preschool teachers to implement an engaging curriculum.
• Respect and observe children's interests, intervening when necessary to maintain safety.
• Enhance children's play with language, toys, and activities.
• Encourage and model developmentally appropriate social behavior and expectations.
• Plan a daily schedule that balances various activities, including quiet/active and indoor/outdoor play.

Requirements

• Must meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
• EEC Certification needed.
• Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher required.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood or Child Development preferred.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
