About the position

The Goddard School of Bethesda, MD is seeking qualified Toddler Teachers to join their team. This role focuses on providing a nurturing and educational environment for toddlers, utilizing a play-based learning approach grounded in Piaget's principles. The ideal candidates will be energetic and creative educators dedicated to fostering a love of learning in young children.

Responsibilities

• Developing lesson plans that cater to individual children's needs.
• Participating in staff and training meetings.
• Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support developmental goals.
• Interacting with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Presenting age-appropriate expectations to children.
• Planning and implementing activities that enhance self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicating professionally with parents and staff.
• Building teamwork among staff members.
• Using assessment tools to evaluate children's progress.
• Committing to continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

• BA or BS in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
• 90 Hour Toddler / Pre-School Certification.
• 45 Hour Infant Toddler Certification.
• Prior experience working with children.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong written and communication skills.
