About the position
The Lead Toddler Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and safe environment for toddlers in a daycare setting. This role involves engaging with children through play and educational activities, ensuring their safety, and maintaining a clean classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience in a center environment and be able to work collaboratively with a team while communicating effectively with parents and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Positive interaction with children, playing, reading stories, etc.
- Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Create engaging lesson plans based on RIELDS
Requirements
- Experience in a daycare setting (1 year required)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a CANTS check and Comprehensive Background Check
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Friendly and reliable
- Certification in child First Aid/CPR preferred
