About the position

As a Tool Changer on the Plastics team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic Plastics Injection machines and related equipment in a continuous production environment. This role involves installing tooling molds, connecting cooling systems, and ensuring production consistency by monitoring various controls and guidelines. The position is for the 2nd shift, with opportunities for overtime during the week and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and/or maintain production equipment, machines and tools using process documents, diagrams, and written instructions in support of production goals.
• Produce set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
• Collect, analyze, and report data from production processes requiring basic mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Count, sort, label, and package assembled materials.
• Disassemble, re-work, and test as necessary.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience with operating machines and control panels.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to use standard hand tools including torque wrenches.
• Basic understanding of drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to operate overhead hoists and rigging.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems.
