About the position

The Tool Changer position at Fortive Corporation involves setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic Plastics Injection machines and related equipment in a continuous production environment. The role requires monitoring production processes to ensure adherence to specifications and involves following engineering drawings and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and/or maintain production equipment, machines and tools using process documents, diagrams, and written instructions in support of production goals.
• Collect, analyze, and report data from production processes requiring basic mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Count, sort, label, and package assembled materials, and may disassemble, re-work, and test as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as appropriate.

Requirements

• Experience with operating machines and control panels.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use standard hand tools including torque wrenches.
• Basic understanding of drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to operate overhead hoists and rigging.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems.
