About the position
The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for managing inventory and fulfilling customer orders in a fast-paced environment. This role involves maintaining the tool crib, ensuring accurate inventory management, and providing excellent customer service. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and ensure the success of the tool crib program
- Use system functions to locate available inventory
- Fill customer orders based on department scheduling
- Build tool kits based on customer requirements
- Fill automated vending machines
- Process transactions from crib inventory to machine inventory correctly
- Report any unusual inventory findings to Site Leadership
Requirements
- Problem solving skills
- General inventory skills
- Ability to communicate and interact well with other employees and customers
- Good overall knowledge of tools
- Familiarity with data entry, filing, and record keeping
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based computer operating systems and software
- Positive attitude with good customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow special instructions
- Ability to work independently and stay focused to complete assigned work
- Kitting experience
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
