About the position
The Tool Maker / Mold Maker / Precision Grinder position at Trident Tool & Mold involves setting up and operating various manual machines to fabricate parts and tools. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of manual machines, including Mills, Lathes, Surface Grinders, and EDM Machines.
- Perform assembly and disassembly of fixtures, dies, templates, molds, etc.
- Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal and written instructions.
- Fabricate parts from start to finish using various machines.
- Verify quality of work to specifications using standard inspection equipment.
Requirements
- 5 years of recent experience in Tool and Die or Journeyman Machinist occupation.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to work from blueprints.
- Ability to set up and operate conventional Toolroom machines, mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
- Ability to perform work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a verbal and hands-on test before being hired.
