About the position
The Tool Maker / Mold Maker position at Tolerance Tool, LLC involves precision manufacturing and assembly of molds and dies. The role requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, inspection processes, and the ability to work with complex mold components. Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop a basic understanding of mold function and individual components within the mold.
- Assembly and disassembly of new, damaged, and worn molds of advanced complexity, troubleshooting to determine necessary repairs.
- Understanding of tight tolerance mold fit verification and assembly.
- Set up and effectively operate tool room equipment.
- Adhere to and maintain safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a mold or die tool room.
- Prefer 2 year technical school completion.
- Ability to safely apply practical skills required in a tool room setting, including but not limited to: trig/math, blue print reading, machine tool operation and assembly.
- Familiar and comfortable with manual and automatic grinding equipment, surface and spin grinding.
- Effective communication skills required written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, work as a team or individually.

- Mold polishing experience a plus.
