About the position

The Tool Technician II position at Halliburton involves repairing and maintaining conventional and down-hole tools used in the energy industry. This role requires a mechanical aptitude and adherence to safety and environmental regulations, while promoting quality improvement processes. The technician will work under general supervision and is expected to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and performs maintenance on conventional tools and down-hole tools.
• Inspects surface equipment and performs necessary repairs.
• Assembles and disassembles down-hole tools.
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
• Participates actively in the quality improvement process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6-12 months experience as a Tool Technician I or equivalent training is necessary.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) is required.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
