As a Tools Product Development Manager at United Rentals, you will serve as the primary point of contact for Tools & Industrial products and services, providing essential support to our internal sales team. This role positions you as a subject matter expert in Tools & Industrial Solutions, where you will engage in consultative selling, deliver training to internal customers, and support sales projects for both new and existing product lines. Your expertise will be crucial in educating other business units within the company about the various Tools & Industrial Solutions products and their applications. In this position, you will focus on expanding the tools market share for the Tools & Industrial division within your assigned districts or geography. You will collaborate closely with Strategic Account Managers, Government Account Managers, National Account Managers, and local Sales Representatives to deliver tailored solutions, services, and expert knowledge to larger customers. Your role will also involve accompanying Sales Representatives on complex sales calls, assisting them in selecting the most cost-effective solutions for our customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and conducting training sessions on Tools & Industrial Solutions to raise awareness and drive growth in market share. Working in tandem with corporate sales and business intelligence teams, you will assist in generating leads for sales representatives using various information tools such as SFDC, Dodge, and PEC. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and impactful role within the organization.
