About the position

The Top Secret Cleared Senior Cisco Network Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting both wide and local area networks within a government technology service provider. This role involves performing operational tasks, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring network performance in compliance with STIG guidelines. The position requires a strong background in Cisco technologies and a valid Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administers, supports, and maintains network capabilities, including wide area and local area networks.
• Performs operations and support activities.
• Evaluates network changes for operational impact.
• Evaluates network performance and resolves network and connectivity problems.
• Manages local area network performance and troubleshoots problems.
• Maintains network infrastructure in accordance with STIG guidelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of network administration / engineering experience
• 5+ years' experience with strong recent Cisco expertise
• Understanding of Layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting and technologies
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain an SCI from the DOJ.

Nice-to-haves

• Cisco certifications: (CCNA, CCNP)
• Bachelors Degree, can be subbed with 2+ years of experience.
