About the position

Insight Global is seeking an IT Project Manager to support a large government organization based in Augusta, GA. The primary responsibility of the IT Project Manager (PM) will be to oversee projects that introduce new technology and infrastructure for the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE). This role involves managing various aspects of IT projects, including maintenance, software delivery, upgrades, lifecycle management, and major IT initiatives. The IT PM will lead technical teams and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The IT PM will be responsible for developing and delivering quality project artifacts that focus on scope, schedule, budget, and status. This includes leading and supporting all phases of IT projects, from initiation through to transition to sustainment. The PM will conduct requirements analysis and develop comprehensive project documentation to guide the project lifecycle. Monitoring and controlling project performance in terms of schedule, cost, quality, and risks will be a critical part of the role. The IT PM will also be tasked with briefing stakeholders on project status, risks, and concerns, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned throughout the project. Additionally, the IT PM will execute Requests for Change (RFCs) through the organization's established processes, maintain project documents and knowledge within a project system, and archive project information and lessons learned upon project closure. The role may also involve performing additional tasks as required to support the organization’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Management preferred; 7 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • PMP or Agile Methodology Certification (e.g., Scrum Master).
  • 3 years of management and supervision in military project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management best practices.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).
  • Hands-on project management experience.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex project-related problems.
