About the position

The position involves providing topographic and survey skills to assist in the preparation of site plans for a new construction dwelling. The role is crucial for ensuring compliance with local regulations regarding drainage review and site elevation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic surveys of the lot to determine existing elevations.
• Prepare site plans that include pre and post-development elevations for the four corners and midpoints of the two side property lines.
• Establish an elevation benchmark for the site.
• Indicate surface drainage flow around the proposed structure with arrows on the site plan.
• Provide the finished floor elevation (FFE) of the proposed structure.

Requirements

• Proven experience in topographic surveying and site plan preparation.
• Knowledge of local building codes and drainage requirements.
• Ability to create detailed and accurate site plans using surveying tools and software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with new construction projects.
• Familiarity with the permitting process for construction in Jacksonville.
