About the position

The Torque Application Sr. Engineer is responsible for ensuring product excellence by meeting Global Process Assurance Capability Verification requirements. This role involves setting up torque controllers, validating processes, mentoring team members, and collaborating with suppliers to innovate tool solutions. The engineer will also create procedures for data analysis and communicate effectively with various internal Honda contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Setup of torque controllers to meet specifications, including program creation and adjustment.
  • Support production with torque issues and implement specification changes from technical teams.
  • Validate processes by following tool validation procedures and preparing torque validation documents for approval.
  • Develop the capability of self and colleagues through mentoring and sharing of experiences.
  • Investigate new technology and collaborate with suppliers to find innovative tool solutions that improve cost of ownership.
  • Create procedures for making changes and conducting data analysis to detect issues and implement countermeasures.
  • Communicate and share information with internal Honda contacts including ADC Tech, ADC Process, New Model, and other Honda factories.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  • 2 - 8 years of experience, based on education.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management skills.
  • Experience with Catia/CAD, torque controllers, and DC tools.
  • Understanding of PLC logic and problem analysis skills.
