About the position

The Total Rewards & HR Operations Manager at Phathom Pharmaceuticals is a key role responsible for developing and implementing compensation strategies that attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This position blends strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring that compensation practices align with the company's business goals and values. The manager will oversee employee benefits administration, lead wellness initiatives, and manage compensation projects, all while advocating for equitable compensation practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure seamless delivery of benefits and compensation programs and proactively resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Lead wellness initiatives to enhance employees' health and wellbeing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wellness programs.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and recommend modifications or new plans to maintain the company's competitive position in compensation.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation recommendations, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Manage salary planning and incentive programs, ensuring compliance with budget and legal requirements.
  • Administer equity programs, including grants, exercises, vesting, releases, and forfeitures, maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage relationships with the stock plan administrator to ensure timely processing of equity transactions.
  • Oversee compensation projects, including annual salary reviews and bonus cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in compensation-related topics, enhancing knowledge of Phathom's total rewards package.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 or more years of experience with an emphasis on compensation and equity plan administration.
  • Experience in HR operations and employee services is a plus.
  • Strong critical and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage projects with strategic speed and precision, demonstrating determination and adaptability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects and timelines, organizing and tracking complex information.
