The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Total Rewards Manager leads a team of compensation and employee benefits professionals responsible for the administration of WWP's Total Rewards program. The Total Rewards Manager ensures systems, processes, and practices align with the organization's compensation and benefits philosophy, are market competitive, and are in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This role is crucial in managing the overall compensation and benefits strategy to support the organization's mission of honoring and empowering veterans. In this position, the Total Rewards Manager will manage a team responsible for the collective administration of the organization's total rewards program. This includes monitoring the consistency and effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures. The manager will regularly evaluate the compensation program, review salary structures for parity in the marketplace, and recommend changes to senior leadership. They will also oversee the day-to-day multi-state administration of the wage and salary administration program, approving the processing of base salary pay increases, promotions, market adjustments, internal equity adjustments, and FLSA exemption status changes. The Total Rewards Manager will be responsible for managing the intake and assignment of job analyses, drafting/editing job descriptions, job evaluations, FLSA status review, and reviewing external market comparisons. Regular audits of teammate compensation will be performed to ensure regulatory compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and internal pay equity across the organization. Additionally, the manager will oversee salary survey participation, respond to select survey data requests, analyze and communicate survey results to senior leadership, and utilize results to ensure market competitiveness. The role also involves overseeing the annual incentive process and ensuring bonuses are processed accurately and timely. The manager will monitor trends affecting pay and benefits, assess their impact, and ensure compliance with market conditions and federal, state, and local governmental regulation changes. Furthermore, the Total Rewards Manager will oversee the administration of the employee benefits program, including new enrollments, COBRA processing, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability claims, accident, and death claims, 401(k), and legally mandated benefits. They will serve as the primary point of contact to brokers and benefits vendors and providers, identifying and recommending benefits plan design changes, cost savings opportunities, and other efficiencies.
