About the position

MindTravel is looking for a skilled Touch Design Programmer & Operator to create and manage motion-activated visuals for live piano concerts. The role involves programming with TouchDesigner software, syncing visuals to live music, and providing technical support during events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real-time audio-visual synchronization and experience in live event settings.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate motion-activated visuals for live piano concerts.
• Program visuals using TouchDesigner software and ensure synchronization with live music.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during live events and adapt to unforeseen challenges.
• Collaborate creatively with artists and performers to enhance the concert experience with visuals.
• Create concise technical guides to support team success.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with TouchDesigner to create motion-reactive visuals.
• Strong understanding of real-time audio-visual synchronization and projection mapping.
• Experience in live events with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
• Familiarity with multimedia software such as Resolume or other generative design tools.
• Access to a personal development environment (software licenses, hardware, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with other multimedia software (e.g., VJ software).
• A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous work with real-time visuals and music synchronization.
