PACCAR is seeking a Tours & Events Coordinator to manage various tours and events at the Kenworth Truck Company manufacturing facility. This role is integral to the Human Resources team and involves overseeing the scheduling of tours, events, employee engagement activities, and community outreach programs. The Tours & Events Coordinator will be responsible for processing tour requests from both internal and external customers, managing a schedule that accommodates approximately 400+ tours annually. The position also entails coordinating a variety of events, including VIP gatherings, sales events, on-site classes, employee appreciation celebrations, food events, recruitment activities, retirement parties, and service anniversary celebrations, with event sizes ranging from 5 to 2,000 participants. In addition to event management, the coordinator will handle community outreach and charitable donation activities for company-sponsored agencies and local events. Budget management is a key responsibility, ensuring that all tour and event-related activities are executed flawlessly, on time, and within budget constraints. The coordinator will also be tasked with sourcing and overseeing various vendors for tour and event needs, such as catering, entertainment, and offsite venues. The role requires the preparation of publications and communication materials for tours, events, and employee engagement initiatives, including weekly newsletters, SharePoint graphics, and flyers. The coordinator will support overall plant and departmental initiatives, participate in HR-related activities, and promote events that reflect PACCAR's strong ethical and professional image. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with reception duties, including answering phone calls and greeting guests, for part of each day.
