About the position

The Tourism Special Projects Coordinator serves as the business liaison for the Love Kansas initiative, focusing on enhancing talent recruitment efforts by engaging with Kansas business leaders and stakeholders. This role involves organizing and participating in various public events, webinars, and job fairs to promote project engagement and support recruitment strategies. The coordinator will also analyze project effectiveness and collaborate with different divisions within the Department of Commerce to ensure the success of the initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct assistance, guidance, and consultation to key stakeholders and partners.
  • Conduct meetings with Kansas business stakeholders to engage them in the program.
  • Support talent recruitment efforts for Kansas businesses.
  • Develop and implement strategies for participation in HR events, job fairs, and other public events.
  • Host public-facing webinars, panel meetings, and other events to promote project engagement.
  • Build partnerships with various divisions of the Department of Commerce to support talent recruitment strategies.
  • Utilize analytics and reports to assess project effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
