About the position

The Tourism Special Projects Coordinator at the Kansas Department of Commerce serves as the business liaison for the Love Kansas initiative, focusing on enhancing talent recruitment efforts by engaging with key stakeholders and partners. This full-time position involves organizing and participating in various public events, webinars, and meetings to promote project engagement and support Kansas businesses. The coordinator will utilize analytics to assess project effectiveness and drive continuous improvement, ensuring the success of the initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance, guidance, and consultation to key stakeholders and partners as the business liaison for the Love Kansas initiative.
• Conduct meetings with Kansas business stakeholders to engage them in the program.
• Support talent recruitment efforts for Kansas businesses.
• Develop and implement strategies to participate in HR events, job fairs, and other public events that support talent recruitment.
• Host public-facing webinars, panel meetings, and other virtual and in-person events to enhance project engagement.
• Develop partnerships with various divisions of the Department of Commerce to support talent recruitment strategies.
• Utilize analytics and reports to assess project effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
