About the position

X3 Management Services Inc is seeking experienced Tower Top Hands to join their team in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas. This full-time position involves upgrading 5G cell sites and managing various construction tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The role requires climbing towers and performing technical work in a team-oriented environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade 5G cell sites and manage new site builds (NSB) and modifications.
• Lead and mentor apprentices while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Perform technical scopes of work according to client specifications.
• Install RF and antenna system components including BTS, RRU's, antennas, coax/fiber, and grounding.
• Identify essential materials and tools needed for the job.
• Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and promote team safety with proper PPE.
• Read, implement, and redline RFDS and site construction documents.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of local industry experience in telecommunications.
• Knowledge of major carrier sites including LTE, NSB, Electrical, Civil, DAS, and Small Cell.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and test gear.
• Computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.
• Certifications: OSHA 30 preferred, RF Awareness, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, HAZCOM, Confined Space, Scaffold, Manlift/Aerial Platform, Competent Climber & Rescue.

Nice-to-haves

• NWSA certification is a plus.
• Experience in managing A&L and end-to-end construction processes.
