The position involves performing forensic toxicology investigations and analysis on a diverse array of matters, including those involving PFOS, PFAS, and other contaminants. Responsibilities include source identification of various pollutants such as PCBs, PAHs, PFASs, organic and inorganic pesticides, heavy metals, and metalloids. The role requires determining the timing, sources, and mechanisms of contaminant releases and identifying other potential sources of contamination. Additionally, the candidate will conduct toxicology analysis on cases involving PFOS, PFAS, and various chemical and biological exposures, perform in-depth pathway/network analysis on data derived from toxicology and other studies, and engage in extensive document review, analysis, and interpretation. The position also entails conducting unbiased investigations for various clients, providing technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms, supporting conclusions with appropriate testimony in legal proceedings, delivering professional presentations, developing client relationships, and promoting oneself to client groups. Continuous professional and technical knowledge maintenance is expected through attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
