About the position

The General Manager (GM) position at a large import dealership in the Nashville, TN metro area is a leadership role focused on overseeing dealership operations, driving sales performance, and fostering a high-performing team culture. The GM will be responsible for achieving net profit targets, managing a large sales force, and implementing progressive business strategies to enhance dealership success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee dealership operations and ensure high performance in sales and service departments.
  • Achieve net profit targets and manage financial statements effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team with low turnover rates.
  • Implement progressive ideas to enhance dealership performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a large sales force and provide leadership and direction.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of dealership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in supervisory positions.
  • Proven track record of success in a dealership selling 250 or more vehicles a month with over $500k in fixed gross profit.
  • Fluency in financial statements and achieving net profit targets.
  • Experience in multiple dealership departments is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Honda or Toyota preferred but not mandatory.
