About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an IT Program Manager for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry, located in Chicago, IL. The role requires a flexible and hardworking individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent release cycles and changing priorities. The IT Program Manager will be responsible for managing projects, communicating effectively with multi-disciplined teams, and ensuring project delivery while possessing strong financial markets product knowledge and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT programs and projects within the financial industry.
• Communicate effectively with multi-disciplined teams across multiple locations and time zones.
• Remove obstacles and influence others to move projects forward.
• Ensure strong ownership and follow through on project tasks.
• Maintain attention to detail and strong project management skills.

Requirements

• Strong project management and organization skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong financial markets product knowledge and market risk experience.
• Excellent technical skills including SQL, MS Excel, Jira, MS Project, SharePoint, Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MySQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Computer Engineering or Financial degree.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with VaR and Risk Analytics.
• Exposure to financial/product control functions within a bank.
