About the position

The position at HNTB involves the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for various infrastructure projects. The role requires collaboration with project managers and clients to ensure project delivery meets schedule and budget requirements. The engineer will also mentor junior staff and contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
• Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Assists with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects.
• Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team's work within the technical discipline.
• Guides and mentors team to achieve overall project objectives.
• Coordinates technical aspects of projects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
