Responsibilities
- Construct, inspect, and repair tracks and other railroad assets.
- Lift and carry track material as part of track maintenance duties.
- Operate and maintain 26K+ lb trucks safely and efficiently.
- Perform welding, grinding, and cutting of rail according to BNSF procedures.
- Maintain records and timesheets while adhering to safety regulations.
- Engage in daily safety conversations and follow safety policies.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to report for duty at the designated work location.
- Ability to work safely in diverse and extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs occasionally.
- Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or able to obtain one within 60 days of employment.
- Able to visually distinguish colors and discriminate between verbal and non-verbal sounds.
- Ability to use hands and hand tools for various tasks.
