About The Position

The Trackman position at Florida East Coast Railway involves performing various track maintenance, repair, and construction duties under the supervision of a Track Supervisor or Foreman. The role emphasizes a safety-first approach while handling materials and operating track maintenance equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid credentials required by federal and state laws.
• Ability to operate railway highway motor vehicles and all FEC Maintenance of Way vehicles in its fleet.
• Must complete all requirements to obtain FRA A & B certifications and pass tests within 30 working days.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load, and unload materials.
• Operate track maintenance equipment, power tools, and hand tools such as portable grinders, spike pullers, rail saws, track wrenches, and spike drivers.
• Provide safety watch while other team members are working.
• Assist other employees as instructed.
• Adhere to FEC Safety Policies & Procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the manager.
