About the position

The Tractor Operator position at the Falcon Dunes Golf Course on Luke AFB involves operating various field-type tractors and equipment for maintenance and gardening operations. This is a flexible position with no guaranteed hours or benefits, requiring physical capability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds and perform tasks in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate field-type tractors with attachments, mowers, aerators, plows, and other equipment.
• Make adjustments to equipment for proper settings and mechanical soundness.
• Observe safety rules and regulations during vehicle operation.
• Perform daily tasks such as setting cups, raking bunkers, and debris removal.
• Conduct gardening operations on greens, tees, fairways, and clubhouse grounds.
• Mow, fertilize, seed, plant, prune, and trim various plants and trees.

Requirements

• Experience operating and performing maintenance on field-type tractors and associated equipment.
• Ability to manipulate both tractor and equipment controls simultaneously.
• Knowledge of equipment connections on mechanical drive shafts and hydraulic lines.
• Skills to operate equipment over different types of terrain.
