The Global Trade Analyst is responsible for monitoring daily import transactions and providing product data to customs brokers to ensure shipments are processed through Customs formalities in a timely manner. The Global Trade Analyst will also work with the Global Trade Compliance Director to streamline Global Trade processes and procedures and assist with special projects as needed. This position is part of the Global Trade Compliance team and will be Remote. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee import transactions submitted on behalf of Cepheid by Customs Brokers in the U.S. and E.U., communicate the status of import releases to Logistics teams, manage recordkeeping activities for import transactions in the U.S. and E.U., monitor email communications to the Global Trade Compliance team alias, and obtain required documents from suppliers and internal Cepheid departments (Regulatory, Procurement, Engineering) to support Customs clearance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Good understanding of US Customs and Import Laws and Regulations (CFR 19)
  • Knowledgeable of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of Agile and SAP
