About the position

As a Trade Compliance Associate at Alfa Laval, you will play a crucial role in implementing and improving export procedures and systems. This position involves identifying compliance risks, filing import documents, managing government licenses, and ensuring adherence to regulations. You will work in a hybrid environment, contributing to the organization's growth and success through your expertise in trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential areas of import compliance risk within the organization and work with management to evaluate and resolve these risks.
• File import documents per US customs regulations and maintain all record keeping.
• Act as an Empowered Official for Alfa Laval to handle inquiries from government agencies.
• Assist in managing all government license renewals, including ITAR and USML.
• Maintain and update Alfa Laval's ECCN database.
• Ensure post-entry compliance audits are completed according to procedures.
• Retrieve import documents from third-party billing companies.
• Assist with the AL Duty Drawback program and Reconciliation program as needed.
• Use data analysis techniques to present new business opportunities to the organization.
• Align with other Alfa Laval locations to ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with relevant experience.
• 5 years of experience with export compliance, import operations, and logistics preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Data analysis skills.
