Castleton Commodities International (CCI) is seeking a Trade Operations Analyst to join their Global Merchant Trading team. This role is essential for maintaining control and facilitating business operations within Global Merchant Operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with commercial teams and support functions such as Scheduling, Market Risk, Product Control, and Compliance. The position emphasizes process improvement and the support of both strategic and tactical technology initiatives, providing substantial exposure to energy commodity trading in a highly dynamic setting. Key responsibilities include clearing, reconciliation, trade capture, and managing the trade lifecycle. The Trade Operations Analyst will be responsible for the daily validation of CCI's exchange positions across exchanges, predominantly in oil, gas, and power products. This includes managing futures and options expiration activities and associated physical delivery, as well as collateral management, which encompasses the settlement of daily margin calls, margin analysis, optimization, and stress testing. The role also involves processing, reconciliation, and settlement of transaction costs, including brokerage, while identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce costs. Ensuring all entries within the trading book are correct and verified against exchanges such as ICE and CME is crucial. The analyst will partner with Traders, Exchanges, Clearing Brokers, and cross-functional businesses within CCI (Compliance, P&L, IT, Reference Data) to onboard new trading desks and platforms. Reporting listed options and futures expiries to the Trading desks and Middle Office, providing ongoing support and communication to traders regarding market access, trade execution, and operational processes are also key aspects of the role. The position requires daily position management, including monitoring and reporting of key metrics related to trading activities and performance. Supporting the physical delivery of futures and options while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements is essential. The analyst will assist in the management and reporting of costs and fees related to exchange business, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving initiatives. Engaging with external vendors and stakeholders to enhance trade execution platform support (Trayport) and resolve any operational issues is also part of the job. Additionally, participation in ad-hoc projects which include new business implementation, system improvements, change management, and efficiency/cost-saving initiatives is expected.
