About the position

The Trade Specialist role at Black & Decker involves being part of the Commercial Construction field sales team, focusing on achieving sales targets and developing relationships with end-user partners in the greater Baltimore area. This position requires a blend of sales expertise, relationship management, and market knowledge to effectively promote and sell various brands under the company.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals through selling DEWALT, STANLEY, and other brands to end-user customers.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners through product and service solutions.
  • Teach and mentor the local market team on End User development processes and purchasing execution.
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant construction field experience could be a substitute for higher education.
  • Experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors.
