About the position

The Trade Support Associate Intermediate role at Sintra Technologies involves facilitating the ETF trade lifecycle, ensuring accurate trade processing from booking to settlement. This hybrid position requires collaboration with various teams to manage trade operations effectively, while also addressing discrepancies and improving processes.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate front to back Operations processing for the ETF trade lifecycle.
  • Work with traders on booking and trade capture.
  • Oversee trade settlement with Pre-matching and settlement teams.
  • Support order placement for agency and principal create/redeem ETFs with various underliers.
  • Complete intra-day and end of day processes including completeness controls and reconciliation investigation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure groups related to P&L Reporting, Financial Control, Settlements, and Purchases and Sales.
  • Manage order placement controls around bookings and trade lifecycle events.
  • Investigate discrepancies and work with Technology and Middle office counterparts for resolution.
  • Facilitate client and cross-organizational communication to identify real-time risk issues.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives to improve processes and business architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or similar.
  • 2 years of experience in Finance Operations roles.
  • Understanding of cash equities markets and basic ETF lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in trade lifecycle management including trade capture, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate operational and settlement risks associated with equity trading.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot trade-related issues under pressure.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in trade processing.
  • Effective communication skills with traders and functional partners.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in trade support operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with advanced formulas and pivot tables.
