About the position

The Trademark Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team of a major brand acquisition company based in midtown Manhattan. This position involves managing all aspects of large global trademark portfolios, ensuring that the company's intellectual property is well-protected and effectively utilized. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Counsel and will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to trademark management, including but not limited to conducting trademark searches, preparing and filing trademark applications, and maintaining trademark records. In addition to managing trademark portfolios, the Trademark Paralegal will assist in handling trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings. This includes preparing necessary documentation, coordinating with external counsel, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with the legal team on various projects. Experience in transitioning large trademark portfolios from one owner and trademark platform to another is highly desirable, as this will be a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trademark law and procedures, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities
