The Trademark Paralegal position at Infobahn Softworld Inc. is a contract role that requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the Trademark Department. The primary responsibilities include reviewing various forms of content such as packaging, websites, advertising copy, and social media to ensure compliance with trademark regulations. The paralegal will execute both domestic and international trademark screenings and searches online, conducting initial reviews of search results to assess the availability and scope of potential trademark rights. This role also involves conducting preliminary analyses of basic trademark and copyright issues, providing recommendations to in-house counsel, and educating business partners on proper trademark usage and the processes for clearing and protecting new trademarks. In addition to these responsibilities, the Trademark Paralegal will maintain and update relevant documents, guidelines, and procedures within the Trademark Department, initiating revisions based on evolving business needs. The role requires maintaining trademark portfolio management databases, which includes data entry, docket review, and preparing reports for attorneys and business units. The paralegal will also provide support and due diligence in connection with transactional matters and assist in managing both U.S. and foreign trademark portfolios, including clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement. Strong organizational and planning skills are essential, along with excellent written and oral communication abilities. The candidate must be capable of handling multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines and should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and online research.
