About the position

The Tradeshow and Event Marketing Manager at Verkada is responsible for leading the planning and execution of various trade shows and events across North America. This role involves developing a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with the company's demand generation goals, managing all aspects of event logistics, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure successful participation and engagement at these events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a North America tradeshow and event strategy aligned with Verkada's demand generation and geo goals.
• Identify, evaluate, and select relevant industry events based on consistent criteria.
• Collaborate with field marketing peers, sales, and product teams to define event objectives, messaging, deliverables, and participation.
• Plan pre, during, and post-event communication and engagement with the Americas Acquisition Team.
• Manage all aspects of events including booth design, materials, shipping, on-site setup, vendor relationships, contracts, and staff scheduling.
• Track follow-up and collaborate with the Acquisition and sales teams to measure results and evaluate future participation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience in executing and scaling complex events and trade shows, ideally in high technology.
• Strong event management, project management, budget management, and reporting experience.
• Experience negotiating with and managing external suppliers, agencies, and venues.
• Ability to frequently travel nationally and internationally, including weekends and holidays, for event attendance and vendor execution.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of 4+ additional years of work experience.

• Demonstrable experience creating creative and successful event experiences.
• Experience managing calendars for multiple simultaneous events.
