About the position

The Trading Services Associate role at JPMorgan Chase is a pivotal position within the Asset & Wealth Management division, focusing on providing comprehensive trading services. This role involves understanding trading structures, ensuring accurate transaction capture, and performing reconciliation checks. The associate will also engage with users to gather feedback and contribute to the design and implementation of trading tools, while balancing strategic planning with tactical execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of the portfolio management and trading processes and needs of the Financial Advisors and Trading Desks.
• Actively solicit and represent the 'voice of the user.'
• Become proficient in all portfolio management and trading tools and train new Financial Advisor Teams and current employees on how to use the tools effectively.
• Identify knowledge gaps in the field and help develop training materials to address those gaps.
• Contribute to the definition and development of the short/medium/long term roadmap for portfolio management and trading platforms.
• Create sound business requirements, act as liaison with cross functional teams and vendors, provide oversight of deliverables, conduct usability testing, and manage product and deployments in partnership with the technology team and vendors.
• Partner with Technology and vendors to execute against the roadmap including implementation of new platforms and enhancements to existing tools.

Requirements

• Understand all relevant derivatives and hedging products (Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency swaps, Forward Rate Agreement (FRA), Foreign Exchange (FX), Zero Coupon and Overnight Index Swaps (OIS), Bond and Futures).
• Knowledge of the front to back Operations process (including confirmations, settlements, regulatory reporting) and facilitate issue resolution across teams.
• Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Collateral) and recognize the impact of the actions of the Trade support team on these areas.
• Must have clear communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively, explain, and challenge as appropriate.
