Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• 10+ years of traffic control experience.
• Thorough knowledge of Alaska traffic control regulations.
• Excellent management skills.
• Previous experience in developing project traffic control plans for AKDOT, MOA, Mat-Su Borough.
• Strong communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and administer a safety program that provides for a safe work environment that meets or exceeds Granite's Annual Incident Goal.
• Create and promote the ability to recognize and understand environmental policies and mitigate adverse effects due to operations.
• Foster a quality culture that recognizes the effect of quality on all operations.
• Supervise traffic control operations to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and manage resources to meet project objectives.
• Supervise traffic control employees to ensure productivity and efficient use of materials and equipment.
• Assist project team in scheduling and implementing Traffic Control Plans and procedures.
• Interface with on-site work teams to resolve problems and ensure quality and safety.
• Assist personnel dispatcher to ensure flagging staff has proper certifications.
• Design, adjust, and certify traffic control plans for all self-performed projects.
• Assist the Estimating team in creating best value traffic control strategies.
