About the position

The Traffic Dispatcher Assistant Supervisor is responsible for receiving assistance requests from clients and customers, and assigning individuals and teams to respond to those requests. This part-time role involves scheduling and dispatching resources, ensuring effective communication, and maintaining records of customer requests and services performed. The position is suitable for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Schedule and dispatch resources, including team members, crews, equipment, or service vehicles, according to customer requests and specifications.
• Ensure timely and efficient movement of resources according to work orders and schedules.
• Oversee all communications within assigned areas.
• Receive or prepare work orders and work schedules.
• Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work performed, and inventory.
• Recognize and mitigate issues encountered within the department and other work environments.
• Confer with clients and supervising personnel to address questions, problems, and resource requests.
• Monitor resources and utilization to coordinate services and schedules for optimal efficiency.
• Compile statistics and reports on work progress and monitor daily services.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Nice-to-haves

• One (1) year of prior multi-line reception experience or dispatching experience preferred.
