About the position
TYLin is seeking an early career Traffic Engineer to join their New York City based Traffic Engineering Team. The role involves performing various traffic engineering and transportation planning tasks, contributing to innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits, field observations and data collection
- Perform traffic, pedestrian, parking, safety, and transit analyses
- Use innovative data analytics tools and traffic analysis software
- Develop CAD-based design drawings of signs, markings, and signal controls
- Conduct reviews of transportation plans and drawings for operational effectiveness
- Prepare high-quality graphics, data visualizations, and reports
- Attend internal and external project meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Expert user of Excel
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Adobe Illustrator
- Experience in traffic analysis software including HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, and/or VISSIM preferred
- EIT certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to commute to the office at least three days per week
- Authorized to work in the US
