About The Position

The Trailblazer Program Job Coach plays a crucial role in assisting with UCEDD projects and providing job coaching and administrative support for transition-based programming. This position focuses on helping individuals aged 18-26 enhance their strengths and improve their working skills in a workplace learning environment, particularly in developing social and employment skills.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and OneDrive.
• Strong verbal and communication skills, with the ability to provide immediate feedback to students.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and their families.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Previous experience in job coaching.
• APSE Certification is preferred.
• Strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with UCEDD projects related to job coaching and transition-based programming.
• Provide job coaching to individuals aged 18-26 to enhance their strengths and improve their working skills.
• Support students in a workplace learning environment to develop social skills and employment skills.
• Offer administrative support as needed for the program.
