About the position

The Trailblazer Program Job Coach plays a crucial role in assisting individuals aged 18-26 with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enhance their social and employment skills. This position focuses on job coaching within a workplace learning environment, providing support for transition-based programming and administrative tasks related to UCEDD projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with UCEDD projects and job coaching activities.
• Provide administrative support for transition-based programming.
• Work with students in a workplace learning environment to improve their social skills and employment skills.
• Offer feedback to students in real-time to enhance their learning experience.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience (three years related education/experience may be considered).
• 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities and their families.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, and OneDrive.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous job coaching experience preferred.
• APSE Certification preferred.
• Strong written communication skills.
