About the position

The Trailer Mechanic position at HireWorks, LLC involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing trailer equipment for an industry-leading truck-trailer rental company. The role requires performing safety inspections and maintaining a clean working environment while providing excellent service to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all company equipment as indicated on repair orders and consistent with company repair standards.
• Performing safety and legally required inspections (FHWA/BIT).
• Maintaining parts and yard organization to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Providing excellent service which meets and/or exceeds customer's expectations regarding quality and consistency of service provided.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED Equivalent) Preferred
• 1 year of semi-trailer repair experience (Required)
• 1 year of air-disc brake repair experience (Required)
• Knowledge of the inspection standards of Part 393 and Appendix G, and the ability to identify defective components.
• At least 12 months' trailer repair experience to complete FHWA inspections and brake-related repairs; or specialized training via an apprenticeship and/or trade school.
• Must possess own tools in accordance with the company's tool sheet.
• Must possess current/legal driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certification.

Benefits
