About the position

TransAm Trucking, Inc. is a full truckload refrigerated trucking company specializing in time and temperature sensitive products since 1987. Located in Olathe, KS, we service 2/3 of the country focusing on dry or refrigerated freight for manufacturers, distributors, and other truckload shippers. The role of a Trailer Technician is crucial to our operations, as it involves performing scheduled trailer basic preventative maintenance, installing wheel assemblies and tires, and completing other basic electrical and trailer repairs. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs on basic trailer tracking systems (RCOM). This position is essential for ensuring that our fleet remains in optimal condition to meet the demands of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled trailer basic preventative maintenance.
• Install wheel assemblies and tires.
• Complete other basic electrical and trailer repairs.
• Diagnose and perform repairs on basic trailer tracking systems (RCOM).

Requirements

• Eager to learn and willing to be trained on basic trailer repairs.
• Self-motivated individual.
• Welding skills or previous welding experience (1 year preferred).
• Brake repair experience (1 year preferred).
• Mechanical knowledge (1 year experience preferred).
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to commute/relocate to Olathe, KS.
