About the position

The Train Crew position at Union Pacific Railroad involves ensuring the safe and timely movement of freight. Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, locomotives, and rail cars to ensure safety for use or movement in a train.
• Perform tasks such as coupling equipment, aligning drawbars, operating remote control locomotives, and applying/releasing hand brakes.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation and prepare necessary materials as required.
• Observe and comply with all railroad rules and regulations pertaining to safety, operations, and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 36 months.
• No history of drug or alcohol-related incidents affecting driving privileges.
• Must successfully complete an assessment in English before the interview stage.

• Experience working on 2nd and/or 3rd shifts.
